Music Fun series

Why our books?

Cartoon of man pushing a shopping trolley with link to our e-shop.

If you’re a parent or guardian ask your child’s teacher what instruction on theory they are giving your child and invite them to check us out and try the Music Fun series of books, effectively free of charge.

For many children learning theory can be a big turn off when, quite naturally, all they want to do is master their instrument. This is understandable when the traditional approach to theory learning can be dry and heavy going.

However, in common with all skill-based pursuits, if real progress is to be had there must be a desire to learn the underlying principles. It makes sense to start the learning process early in their musical development. In this way theory is accepted as being a normal part of the weekly lesson, there’s no ‘I hate theory’ nonsense and, perhaps most important of all, there’s no last minute cramming.

So why not start with the very first lesson, or the next lesson, with a child-oriented fun approach to the subject?

Music Fun theory books use clear, appealing pages to engage the student in finding and applying the rules of music in a fun way with quizzes and puzzles to aid consolidation.
